Introduction
Manchester Grammar School, one of the UK’s leading independent schools, wanted to upgrade the audiovisual system in one of its key lecture theatres. The goal was to enhance the learning experience for sixth-form students by delivering a more engaging, university-style teaching environment.
The project brief
The school’s existing lecture theatre technology was outdated, limiting the effectiveness of lessons. The teaching team needed a system that offered better visuals, clear audio, and simple controls, enabling teachers to focus on delivery rather than managing tech.
The solution
Piranha AV designed a tailored AV solution built around the needs of sixth-form learners. We installed a high-resolution projection system and a large display screen to improve visibility throughout the space. A new sound system with microphones ensured speech was amplified clearly and evenly, while a simple control panel made it easy for staff to switch between inputs and manage sessions with confidence.
The impact
The updated AV system has transformed the learning environment, giving sixth formers a more professional and immersive educational experience. Teachers can now deliver engaging multimedia-rich lessons with confidence, and the school benefits from a reliable, future-proof setup that aligns with its academic excellence.
