Introduction
All Saints Church in Daresbury is a cherished place of worship and a Grade II* listed building with a congregation spanning generations. With the changing needs of its community, the church required a modern AV system to improve the experience for worshippers in person and online, without disturbing the historical fabric of the building.
The brief
The church team wanted to enhance speech intelligibility throughout the nave and side aisles, provide high-quality visuals for hymn lyrics and notices, and enable reliable live streaming for remote participants. Importantly, any technology needed to be installed with sensitivity to the church’s architecture and heritage.
The solution
We designed and installed a new AV system that combined performance with discretion. A column speaker array was chosen for its slim profile and excellent vocal clarity, ensuring consistent sound coverage across the space. Audio inputs were provided for both speech and organ to accommodate a range of services.
For video, we installed a 75” Panasonic 4K display in the main nave and a second in an overflow area, each fed via a distribution system from a central control point. A discreet camera system was added for high-quality live streaming, with all controls made accessible via a simple touchscreen interface.
The impact
The AV upgrade has brought renewed clarity and flexibility to the worship experience at All Saints Church:
- Clear, even sound for congregants in every part of the building
- Visual support for hymns, prayers, and announcements
- Reliable live streaming for remote attendees
- Respectful installation that preserves the church’s architectural beauty
- Ease of use for volunteers and clergy alike
The new system empowers the church to reach more people, more effectively, while maintaining the reverence and atmosphere that make All Saints so special.
